Athletes and Coaches Chosen to Represent the USA at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, AL.
In October, 2021, the qualifications for the 2022 World Games were held at WAKO World Championships in Lido di Jesolo, Italy. WAKO has six weight categories that are in the 2022 World Games: males: -63.5kg, -75kg, and +91kg and females: -52kg, -56kg, and -70kg. WAKO USA brought athletes for each of these six divisions to qualify: Diego Jagessar (63.5kg), Austin Bybee (-75kg), Matt Paul (+91kg), Jenine Pilla (52kg), Anna Crutchfield (-56kg), and Amanda Ginski (-70kg).

Austin Bybee (-75kg) , Jenine Pilla (-52kg) and Amanda Ginski (-70kg) qualified to compete at the 2022 World Games. They were each one of eight athletes to qualify in the World. Due to conflicts of interest, Jenine Pilla will not be competing at -52kg at the 2022 World Games. Lillie Helton, who is a 2021 WAKO Bronze Medalist, will take her place and compete in the -52kg female division. Coaches, Rob Zbilski and David Bybee have been selected to coach the three athletes in Birmingham.
